Physiotherapy

sports physiotherapy for a knee injury

Physiotherapists/physical therapists are healthcare professionals who specialize in helping people who have lost their ability to move and function due to health conditions, injuries, or disability. We assess, diagnose and treat these conditions, as well as limit them from occurring in the first place.

At Recharge, we believe that everyone should be able to enjoy the benefits of an active lifestyle, whether that means playing sports, going for a hike, or simply being able to move around without being limited by pain.

Have you ever been given a canned plan or piece of advice from a healthcare provider who didn’t really consider your situation?

That’s not what we do.

Clearly, every person is different in some way, which is why our treatment plans are always driven by you and your preferences. We will work closely with you to understand your goals, lifestyle, and needs, and provide options for treatment plans that are tailored to your specific situation.

We are trained in a range of techniques to help you manage your pain and improve your mobility and function. These techniques include movement/exercise rehab, manual therapy/IMS (also called dry-needling), and advice on self-management strategies.

IMS / Dry Needling

The goal of IMS / Dry Needling is to provide pain relief, improve mobility, and create a healing response in the muscle tissue where the needle was applied.

If you've been struggling with pain or mobility issues and other treatments have not been effective, IMS / Dry Needling may be recommended by your physiotherapist as part of a comprehensive treatment plan to help you feel your best.
