Recovery Support For Your ICBC Claim

Getting into a car accident is disorienting enough without having to figure out paperwork, deadlines, and coverage rules on top of it. If you're dealing with whiplash, a sore back, or shoulder pain that showed up a day or two after the crash, our team is here to guide you through recovery.

And because we offer direct billing to ICBC, you can focus on getting better instead of tracking receipts or fronting costs out of pocket.

Under ICBC's Enhanced Care coverage, everyone is automatically pre-approved for treatment during the first 12 weeks after a crash, no matter who was responsible. That window moves fast, so the earlier you book, the more of your benefit you get to use.

What To Do After A Car Accident

  1. Report your injury to ICBC and get a claim number as soon as you can. Call 1-800-910-4222 or report online — the sooner you do, the sooner your claim number is issued.

  2. Book in with us. Once you have a claim number, you can reach out to schedule your ICBC assessment.

For the first 12 weeks after your crash, you have pre-approved coverage for a variety of treatments to help you recover. You don’t need a referral from a family physician or nurse practitioner, or approval from ICBC, but you will need your Personal Health Number (PHN) and your ICBC claim number.

Ways To Report Your Accident To ICBC

You have a few options, whichever is easiest for you:

  • By phone: Call ICBC at 1-800-910-4222, available 24/7. This is usually the fastest way to open a claim and get your claim number on the spot.

  • Online: Go to icbc.com, select "Report a Claim," choose "Motor Vehicle Accident," and follow the steps to submit your details.

  • In person: Drop by your local ICBC Autoplan broker and report the accident directly — they'll open your claim and give you a claim number.
